Our beloved †holy Elder Athanasios Mitilinaios reposed in the Lord on May 23, 2006. As his twentieth memorial approaches in May of 2026, we have long wished to publish something in his honor that would bear spiritual fruit for the faithful. The Sacrament of Confession is a cornerstone of Orthodox spirituality, and How to Confess Properly was the very first homily we transcribed in the mid-1990s, so it seemed fitting that these homilies should be the offering. The Elder has been our guide through the decades, and once again we ask his blessing upon this work, and upon all who watch, listen to his homilies or read his words.
